About Me

N. René Muench began writing poetry at the age of eight for a school contest she ultimately won. That first taste of achievement for the introverted child ignited a lifelong passion for the power of words. 

She was first published in a mid-Atlantic schools’ anthology at sixteen, and her writing earned accolades in college. During her time as an undergraduate, she was editor of and contributor to an award-winning college literary magazine. Most of her published works have been in local print outlets. Teacher and single father themed contemporary romance Kindle Vella, “Love's Invitation,” is her first commercial digital publication. She is honored that this story has spent much of its time with Kindle Vella tag rankings near the top, including #1 Relationships and #3 Strong Heroine tags.

She is a multi-genre author. Her stories are character driven and often involve romantic, family, and other relationships. Her other interests include photography and dance, as well as enjoying her husband’s keyboard and piano compositions. She is also a stage 4 kidney disease patient, wife of a type 1 diabetic, and mother of an adult child with profound autism. Those experiences have informed her drive to write with empathy about life’s challenges.
